This is the diary entry of a young boy by the name of Christopher Forrest. It describes the events of the bombing. He wrote this after he moved with his family from Darwin down to South Australia.
"...Everyone is shaken and nobody really knows what to do. So many families have missing family members. I am very scared, we all are. What if the Japanese come back again? What if one member of our family gets killed? What if we all get killed? I can tell the Mother and Father are thinking the same thing. I can see it in their eyes, they don't want me to know that they are scared, but I already know..."
This quote shows how the bombing affected everybody.
